
Scientific research activities of the Department of Translation Theory and Practice
The solid scientific and pedagogical staff of the department allows to carry out fundamental scientific research and present them in the form of annual scientific products at scientific forums of various levels (conferences and seminars), organized on the basis of the department.
Scientific activity:
- participation in international and national scientific and practical conferences and presentations;
- participation in the annual republican competition of student scientific projects;
- participation in the Republican subject Olympiad.
- defense of qualification papers (diploma projects, master's theses).
The teaching staff of the department carries out extensive scientific activities. Teachers participate in annual competitions organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including grant funding of scientific projects etc.
The faculty of the Department of Translation Theory and Practice are the holders of the title “Best Teacher of the University” (Satenova S.K., Tazhibayeva S.J., Konyratbayeva Zh.M.), “Best Researcher” (Tazhibayeva S.J.)
Associate professors and professors of the Department of Translation Theory and Practice carry out scientific supervision of theses, Master’s and PhD dissertations on the EP “Translation Studies”.
The results of the department’s own research are reflected in monographs, articles published in journals recommended by Committee for Control in the Field of Education and Science of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, in journals indexed by international bibliometric databases (Web of Science and Scopus). There are certificates of entry of information into the state register of rights to objects protected by copyright.
