Achievements of the teaching staff

Leading scientists of the department have been awarded many state and departmental awards: Honorary Workers of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Sh.K. Zharkynbekova, A.E. Agmanova, M.B. The winners of the state grant "The best University teacher" in different years were: Sh.K. Zharkynbekova (2005, 2011), E.A. Zhuravleva (2005, 2014), Zh.N. Zhunusova (2010), M.B. Nurtazina (2010, 2021).

The winners of the Nominal Prize of the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after Y. Altynsarina for the best scientific research and work in the field of pedagogy became: Sh.K. Zharkynbekova, M.B. Nurtazina (2019). The winner of the grant "The best researcher": Sh.K. Zharkynbekova (2021).

The holders of the Soros-Kazakhstan Foundation Grant are Doctors of Sciences, professors Sh.K. Zharkynbekova (2019), M.B. Nurtazina (1995, 2001, 2003-2006), A.E. Agmanova (1996), E.A. Zhuravleva (1999, 2001), Zh.N. Zhunusova (2000-2003). The holders of grant programs are M.B. Nurtazina – International scientific Grants from the US State Department (Harvard University, 2007-2008) and Germany (Trier University, 1999-2000); Sh.K. Zharkynbekova – the Bolashak state program.

Awards, prizes, titles received

• Zharkynbekova Sh.K., Nurtazina M.B. – Ybray Altynsarin Award for the best scientific research in the field of pedagogy (2019);
• Zharkynbekova Sh.K. – teacher-researcher (2020)

For several years, doctors of Sciences, professors Sh.K. Zharkynbekov, E.A. Zhuravleva, Zh.N. Zhunusova and A.E. Agmanova were members of Dissertation Councils for the defense of doctoral and PhD theses. Many teachers are members of the jury and experts of Olympiads and competitions through the Republican Scientific and Practical Center "Daryn"; they are members of the editorial boards of international and republican publications; they are initiators of city specialized Olympiads and competitions. 

Members of the department are members of international scientific organizations: Ph.D., Professor Sh.K. Zharkynbekova is a member of the European Association of Women Scientists (Brussels). 15 teachers of the department are members of the public scientific organization KAZPRYAL, within the framework of which meetings with scientists from CIS countries and far abroad are organized.

Achievements of students, undergraduates and doctoral students

The introduction of students to scientific work begins from the first year. Under the guidance of leading scientists of the department, students write term papers and theses, make presentations at scientific conferences. 

Students' scientific research in linguistic science is evaluated by diplomas and certificates, and is reflected in publications. Every year, student papers are published in various collections, including outside Kazakhstan (Russia, Ukraine), many diplomas and diplomas have been won at conferences and Olympiads in Kazakhstan (Nur Sultan, Almaty, Pavlodar, Shymkent) and Russia (Moscow, Sochi, Nizhny Novgorod, Kemerovo, Tula, Surgut, Kazan, Kirov) and Romania (Iasi).

Students of the department are active participants in all events held by the department and the university and dedicated to memorable dates of scientists and linguists, writers and poets, as well as organize creative evenings and celebrate national holidays under the guidance of curators.

Winners of the V International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Researchers "The Russian language in the context of an open dialogue of languages and cultures"

 The conference was held on December 1-2, 2023 in Rostov-on-Don at the Southern Federal University (Russia).

The diploma of the III degree was awarded to Nurseitov Azamat (Prof. Nurtazina M.B.), Diploma of the II degree – Shulepova Lyubov (hands. Prof. Zhuravleva E.A.).

     

Every year, undergraduates of the department undergo scientific internships at leading universities in the near (Russia, Belarus) and far (Germany, Poland, Hungary) abroad, take part in international conferences, carry out research projects together with their supervisors, participate in various competitions and show high performance of their research. Our undergraduates have a high publication activity, during the period of study, each of the undergraduates publishes at least 6 scientific articles, 4 of which are outside Kazakhstan. 

Within the framework of the Consortium "Network University of the Commonwealth of Independent States", since 2009, a joint master's degree program (with diplomas from Kazakhstan and Russia) has been conducted with the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (Russian Federation, Moscow) specialty "7M02306 – Philology".

Also in the 2023-2024 academic year, the second admission of undergraduates to the two–degree master's program in the specialty "7M02306 - Philology: Russian Philology", implemented jointly with the Ufa University of Science and Technology (Ufa, Russia), took place.

 

Republican Research and Development Competition-2023

In 2023, the Kazakh branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University was designated as the basic university of the Republican Competition.
The 2023 NIRS competition for the educational program "Russian Language and Literature" (pedagogical sciences) received 13 works that won in the first round from 7 universities.
After reviewing the scientific works of the students, the competition commission of the Kazakh branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University identified the best scientific work and presented the work of Kamila Kolmagorova, a student (now a graduate student of the double degree program), for awarding a Diploma of the Ministry of the first degree L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, scientific supervisor – Ph.D., Professor E.A. Zhuravleva.

      

According to the Regulations on the Republican competition, the next competition is held on the basis of the university, the student of which took the first place. And now L.N. Gumilyov ENU will host the Republican competition.

Doctoral students actively participate in international scientific conferences held in the countries of the near (Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus) and far (Canada, Switzerland, Italy, USA, Great Britain, Germany, Singapore, Cyprus, France) abroad. Based on the materials of their research, articles are published annually in journals recommended by the KKSON of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in prestigious scientific journals with a high impact factor.

The best young scientist of the CIS-2023

In October-November 2023, the international competition "The Best Young Scientist" among scientific and educational institutions of the Commonwealth of Independent States was held, organized by the national Bobek movement with the support of the International Association of Young Scientists. The best 100 young scientists of the CIS took part in this project: holders and laureates of international, national and regional Olympiads, conferences, projects and speeches, leaders and activists of public youth movements, members of the national team, laureates and prize-winners of the Olympic Games, international and sports competitions (Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Slovenia, etc.).

The scientific article of the 3rd year doctoral student of the specialty "Philology" Aliya Nugumanova was recognized as one of the best and entered the book collection "The best young scientist of the CIS-2023" (scientific consultant – Ph.D., Prof. Zh.N. Zhunusova).

For her contribution to the development of science and education, A. Nugumanova became the holder of a Diploma of the II degree and was awarded a medal with the appropriate certificate. For the support provided to the young scientist, scientific consultant Professor Zh.N. Zhunusova was awarded a letter of thanks.
