Achievements

The Department of Russian Philology in Kazakhstan actively encourages student research activities, providing students with a platform for creative and intellectual development. By holding scientific conferences, seminars and master classes, the department stimulates students' interest in the active research process.

The Department of Russian Philology, together with partner universities, has been holding «Nurgali readings» every year since 2012. This international conference is held in a mixed format: online and offline. Based on the results of the conference, a collection is published that is included in the RSCI.

Since 2015, the Department of Russian Philology has been actively establishing connections with Moscow State Pedagogical University, jointly holding the annual student Olympiad in Russian literature.

The department, together with the University of Iasi, has been organizing and conducting the international Olympiad in Romania since 2016.

Students of the department actively participate in national and international Olympiads and competitions, demonstrating a high level of training and research activity.

Russian Russian Philology at the national level, students became winners and prize-winners of the Republican Student Subject Olympiad in the specialty "Russian Philology" and the XVII Republican Olympiad in Russian language and Literature, held on the basis of the Kazakhstan branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University and the Utemisov West Kazakhstan University. Students of the department received diplomas of I, II and III degrees, as well as diplomas for winning creative and rhetorical contests within the framework of these events.

Internationally, students of the department successfully performed at the VIII International Student Olympiad in Russian Literature, held at Moscow Pedagogical State University, where they won prizes in the categories “Essay", “Performance Competition” and “Rhetorical Competition". In addition, students of the department received diplomas of I, II and III degrees at the XX International Scientific Conference "ǴYLYM JÁNE BILIM-2025", organized by L.N. Gumilyov ENU.

The doctoral students of the department also showed high academic results, winning prizes at international and national conferences and competitions, including the XX International Scientific Conference "ǴYLYM JÁNE BILIM-2025". Their achievements have been awarded diplomas of various degrees, which indicates a high level of research training and active participation in the international academic community.
