Every year, in addition to Mongolia and China, young people from near and far abroad come to the preparatory department of the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov.

In order to implement the "Development Strategy of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University until 2020", the Department of International Cooperation, together with the Department of Practical Kazakh Language, performed a number of important tasks at the invitation of students from foreign partner universities.
In order to improve educational technologies, professional retraining and advanced training of personnel, the Department supports international educational and scientific relations with foreign higher educational institutions:
- Xi'an University of Foreign Languages (XUFL, China)
- Moscow State Linguistic University (MSLU)
- Humboldt University of Berlin (Germany)
- Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (PFUR, Moscow)
- Kazan (Privolzhsky) Federal University of Tatarstan (RF)
- Jamia Millia Islamia University (Delhi, India)
- Yerevan State University (Yerevan State University, Armenia)
Currently 2 teachers of the department teach the Kazakh language in China and Russia. It is Ospankulova G.B. (XUFL, since 2017), Shakhatova K.T. (MSLU, since 2015).
There is a training exchange between teachers, Bachelors and Masters of foreign universities.

Foundation. Working in a service mode, the department systematized activities to attract foreign students to the preparatory department of the university. In order to activate the work of this department, communication with far and near abroad is carried out annually. As a result, students from the Russian Federation, China, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and other countries graduated from this department and became students, enrolling in various faculties of our university.

The survey is a questionnaire of foreign experts. The teaching staff of the department established cooperation with colleagues from Turkey, China, Turkmenistan, Estonia, the Russian Federation, Tatarstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Karakalpakstan, as well as the state of Arizona in the USA, as a result of which they conducted a questionnaire for the QS World University Ranking:
in the 2022-2023 academic year, work was carried out with 135 experts,
in the 2023-2024 academic year 120 experts
