
Scientific activity
The Department of Kazakh Literature, being one of the authoritative departments of the ENU named after L.N.Gumilyov, along with the educational process, is actively engaged in research activities.
Articles of the faculty of the department are regularly published in international rating publications, bulletins of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, National Pedagogical University named after Abay, Pavlodar, Karaganda, Kokshetau universities, Reports of the Kazakh Academy of Education, scientific and methodological international journal «Білім және өркениет» and others. These publications are further continued in monographs.
The teaching staff of the department takes an active part in scientific conferences held in the republic and abroad, in particular Turkey, Russia, Azerbaijan, Tatarstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan. In April 2020, seminars were held on the following topics: "Scientific internship and research practice: results and results"; "Writing research papers and the results of their implementation" (organized - M.S. Orazbek).
Within the framework of the annually held international scientific conference of students and young scientists "GYLYM JANE BILIM" (in kazakh), a section of Kazakh literary criticism is organized, where they make their reports, and receive directions of research.
On April 7, within the framework of the decade "Bilim zhane gylym - 2020", the Department of Kazakh Literature held a scientific and educational seminar on the topic "Ult tulgalary zhane gylym". The seminar was organized by members of the scientific circle "Zhas Galym".
If the report "aLash arystary" examines the well-known scientific works of representatives of the Alash movement, the report "KOs Academician" analyzes the fundamental scientific works of academicians R.Nurgali and S.Kaskabasov. On the basis of the reports conducted, informative slides (presentations) were shown.
In the 2020-2021 academic years, the teaching staff of the department won scientific projects funded by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan 3 scientific projects:

Zhumagul. G. Saginadin. The scientific project "Literature of the Alash period: the context of integrative folklore studies and a new scientific paradigm" within the framework of grant funding for 2022-2024.
International project: The study of the cultural heritage of the Great Silk Road by the scientific Center "Cultural and Literary Heritage of the countries of the Great Silk Road" at Samarkand State University.Sharofa Rashidova (Uzbekistan): executor of the project "Cultural and literary heritage of the countries of the Great Silk Road" (on a contractual basis, 03/01/2023-12/30/2023 intervals).
