Scientific activity
Scientific research activities of the Department of Foreign Philology.
The solid scientific and pedagogical staff of the department allows you to carry out fundamental scientific research and present them in the form of annual scientific products at scientific forums of various levels (conferences and seminars), organized on the basis of the department.
The Philologist student club continues its activities at the department, the purpose of which is to stimulate the scientific activities of students and undergraduates. This club has become the basis for organizing research work, developing scientific skills among young researchers, conducting scientific research, working with bibliographic material, independently processing research results in the form of publications and scientific projects, writing and preparing for the defense of qualifying papers.
Scientific activity:
- participation in international and national scientific and practical conferences and presentations;
- participation in the annual republican competition of student scientific projects;
- participation in the Republican subject Olympiad.
- defense of qualification papers (diploma projects, master's theses).
The teaching staff of the department carries out extensive scientific activities. Teachers participate in annual competitions organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including for grant funding of scientific projects, "The best researcher", "The Best teacher of the Year", etc.
Associate professors and professors of the Department of Foreign Philology carry out scientific supervision of theses, master's and doctoral dissertations on the EP "Foreign Philology", doctoral dissertations on the EP "Foreign language: two foreign languages".
The results of the department's own research are reflected in monographs, articles published in journals recommended by Committee for Control in the Field of Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science, in journals indexed by international bibliometric databases (Web of Science and Scopus). There are certificates of entry of information into the state register of rights to objects protected by copyright.

The department is implementing a project on cooperation with European universities in the framework of the Erasmus + program (2018-2020).

At the department, the Philologist student club continues its activities with the goal of creating, which is to stimulate the scientific activity of students. The scientific work of students has become the basis for conducting research, organizing research work, as well as developing their skills in independently preparing research results in the form of articles and projects.
Participation in scientific activities:
- speeches at scientific and practical conferences organized by universities of Kazakhstan (6 publications);
- participation in the republican competition of student research projects (6 students);
- participation in the republican subject Olympiad (4 students).
