In 2003 he entered the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, specialising in Oriental Studies, and graduated in 2007. To broaden his knowledge, in 2007 he enrolled in the Master's programme of the same faculty, specialising in translation, which he completed in 2010. To improve his Chinese language skills, he attended a one-year language course at the Shenyang Pedagogical University in Shenyang from September 2008 to July 2009 with a special grant from the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation of the People's Republic of China. In 2011, he received a government scholarship from the People's Republic of China and was admitted to the doctoral programme of East China Normal University in Shanghai, People's Republic of China, specialising in the theory of political science. He received his PhD in 2015.

He began his career in 2004 as a teacher of Chinese language at the Linguistic High School № 36 in Almaty. From 2010 to 2012, he worked as a lecturer in the Department of Chinese Oriental Studies at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Since 2014 he has been teaching at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. Since 2014 he has been teaching at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.

Since 2 September 2024 he has been working as Head of the Department of Chinese Philology.
