Achievements of the faculty
"Bolashak" program
Teachers of the Faculty of Philology, candidate of pedagogical sciances M.Zh. Tusupbekova and PhD D.M. Akizhanova completed an internship at the University of Minnesota (USA) as part of the Bolashak "500 Scientists" program. The internship lasted 6 months (June-December 2022) and brought a great experience of visiting various educational institutions in the USA and workshops of the host university.
Best Researcher -2023 Orazbek Maktagul Sotsialovna, Ph.D., Professor of the Department of Kazakh Literature
Head of the Department of Kazakh Literature, PhD, Associate Professor Saginadin Gulnaz Saginadinovna is the holder of the title “Best University Teacher 2024” of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
On February 13, 2026, a ceremonial awarding of the State Scientific Scholarship laureates established by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held in Almaty.
In his opening speech, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, emphasized that the State Scientific Scholarship is awarded to scholars for outstanding achievements in research activities, active involvement in scientific projects, the establishment of their own scientific schools, mentoring talented young researchers, and earning recognition from the scientific community.
This year, the prestigious award was granted to Doctor of Philology, Professor Aigul Bizhkenova, Doctor of Philology, Professor Kulyash Duyssekova; and PhD, Associate Professor Assel Akzhigitova. All three laureates are scholars of the Department of Foreign Philology at the Faculty of Philology of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.
The well-deserved awards and certificates were ceremoniously presented by the President of the Board of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Akhylbek Kurishpayev, who congratulated the winners of the national competition and wished them further creative success.
