First cohort of students of the joint “Translation Studies” program successfully defends graduation theses

On June 2, 2026, at the Department of Translation Theory and Practice of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, the first cohort of students of the “Translation Studies” educational program, jointly implemented with Osh State University since 2022, successfully defended their graduation theses.

This important academic milestone represents a successful outcome of international cooperation between the two universities. The program is aimed at training highly qualified and competitive specialists in the field of translation and intercultural communication.

During the thesis defense, students demonstrated a high level of theoretical knowledge, strong practical translation skills, and the ability to work with various types of texts and cultural contexts. The results confirmed the effectiveness of the joint educational model and the strong professional potential of the graduates.

The program is implemented through close cooperation between the Department of Translation Theory and Practice of ENU and Osh State University.
